Bengals were created by crossing Asian Leopard Cats with domestic cats in the 1960s, resulting in a striking breed with wild-looking spotted or marbled coats. They're exceptionally athletic, intelligent, and energetic cats that love climbing, playing in water, and interactive play. Bengals need significant mental stimulation and can become destructive if bored. Their high energy level means they burn more calories than the average housecat.
