About Ragdoll

Ragdolls were developed in California in the 1960s by breeder Ann Baker, who selected cats for their docile, relaxed temperament. Named for their tendency to go limp when picked up, Ragdolls are one of the largest domestic cat breeds with stunning blue eyes and a semi-long silky coat. They're gentle, affectionate indoor cats that follow their owners from room to room, often described as 'puppy-like' in their devotion.

Size: Large cat breed, 4-9kg adult weightActivity: Low

Dietary Needs

Large breed cat formulas with controlled calories suit their indoor, less active lifestyle. Joint support ingredients like glucosamine are important given their larger frame. Their semi-long coat benefits from omega-3 fatty acids and hairball control formulas. Royal Canin offers a Ragdoll-specific formula with adapted kibble for their broad jaw.

Common health concerns: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, urinary tract issues, hairballs, obesity, feline infectious peritonitis
