Hill's Science Diet Adult Optimal Care is a super-premium dry cat food formulated for healthy adult cats in their prime years. Built around high-quality, easy-to-digest ingredients, it addresses energy levels, digestive health, immune function, and skin and coat condition. The chicken recipe is broadly well-tolerated by adult cats across all breeds.

The ActivBiome+ system is the headline inclusion — a blend of prebiotic fibres and antioxidants designed to support gut health, immune response, and organ function simultaneously. Omega fatty acids contribute to skin condition and coat quality. The formula is calibrated to provide precise nutrient levels for adult cats, which helps avoid excess caloric intake during the maintenance years when activity levels can drop.

Owners who want a science-backed adult formula without moving to a prescription diet tend to land here. The ActivBiome+ inclusion sets it apart from basic adult dry foods, and the 2kg, 4kg, and 6kg bag options suit both single-cat households and homes with multiple cats.
