The recipe is calibrated to support steady, controlled bone development — overly fast growth in large-breed puppies stresses developing joints and is associated with hip and elbow issues later in life. Antioxidants including vitamin E support a still-maturing immune system, and highly digestible proteins ease the load on a young digestive system. The kibble is sized for a developing large-breed jaw.
