Royal Canin Veterinary Early Renal is a specialised dry dog food formulated to support dogs with early-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD). This diet is recommended when dogs are diagnosed at IRIS stage 1 or early stage 2 CKD without proteinuria. It provides targeted nutritional support to help maintain renal function during the earliest phases of kidney disease.
The formula features a carefully controlled protein and phosphorus content to reduce the workload on compromised kidneys while still providing adequate nutrition for daily life. A selection of nutrients supports vitality including renal and cardiac function. The diet is designed as a transitional stage — dogs may remain on Early Renal until creatinine levels elevate outside reference ranges, at which point a full Renal diet is recommended.
