Elanco Advantix is a monthly spot-on flea and tick treatment for medium dogs weighing 4–10kg. Each box contains six pipettes — enough for up to six months of flea protection, or three months on the fortnightly tick schedule. It's one of the few spot-on products that repels as well as kills.

The two active ingredients — imidacloprid and permethrin — target pests through contact, meaning insects don't need to bite to be affected. Fleas are killed within hours and new infestations are prevented for four weeks. Paralysis ticks, brown dog ticks, and bush ticks are killed and repelled, with fortnightly application required for paralysis tick control. Advantix also targets biting insects including mosquitoes, sandflies, and stable flies, and controls lice. Killing flea larvae in the surrounding environment helps break the reinfestation cycle.

Advantix is one of the few spot-on treatments that repels insects on contact — fleas and mosquitoes don't need to bite before being affected. The aqua colour coding makes it straightforward to identify the correct dosage pack for medium-sized dogs.
