Description

Seresto is an 8-month flea and paralysis tick collar for dogs over 8 kilograms. It uses a polymer matrix to continuously release imidacloprid and flumethrin at low concentrations, providing sustained protection without monthly spot-on applications.

The collar kills and repels paralysis ticks for up to 8 months, and is effective against brown dog ticks, fleas, flea larvae, and lice. It begins controlling new paralysis tick infestations within 48 hours of application and maintains activity for the full wear period.

Seresto remains effective after swimming and bathing, though extended or repeated immersion may shorten the collar duration. A safety release mechanism allows the collar to open under sustained lateral force. Reflective strips are incorporated for visibility in low light.

Ingredients

are released continuously from the collar in low concentrations; it then diffuses on the pet's skin/coat, through the natural skin lipid layerFleas don't have to bite to die - works through contact killing fleasProlonged intense exposure to water or shampooing should be avoidedRemains effective following a shampoo treatment or after exposure to rain or sunlightIf shampooing the dog, it is recommended to use a soap-free shampoo, and to bath the dog no more than once per monthIn order to maintain an eight-month duration, dogs must not be bathed more than once per month.Frequent shampooing or intense exposure to water (e.g. swimming) while wearing the collar -may reduce efficacy against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis)has been shown not to reduce efficacy against Brown Dog Tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus)has not been established what effect this has on the efficacy against Paralysis Tick (Ixodes holocyclus) or Bush Tick (Haemaphysalis longicornis)
